Somebody’s Darling – Adult Roommates just released!

Happy to announce the release of Somebody’s Darling’s new album Adult Roommates. They played their CD release in Dallas, TX at Trees to a packed house. This album was such a treat to produce on as I was able to work with friend and insanely talented engineer Matt Pence at Echo Lab in Argyle. Check it out on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/adult-roommates/id905061275Somebodys-Darling-300x300

Kirby Brown at FAME studios in Muscle Shoals

Here are a few quick pics from the great Will Bolton (http://wbolton.com) from the Kirby Brown sessions at FAME studios in Muscle Shoals. Got to meet and spend some time with some heroes of mine on this trip – Spooner Oldham (keyboardist on Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, etc hits) and Rick Hall (legendary producer with his thumb on over 350 million singles sold worldwide). Can’t wait for everyone to hear this special forthcoming album from Kirby Brown: Songs for Re-Entry. Headed to my main spot back in Dallas for overdubs: Modern Electric Sound Recorders.

Stoked to announce that Phil Hamilton’s “Bad” has been in the Top 10 on Texas Radio charts the past few weeks. It’s holding at #7 where it was last week with over 1,000 spins. “Bad”, which I co-wrote with Phil, is the second single from Phil’s album Renegade Rock n Roll, which I produced earlier this year. Phil also had a Top 10 single with the 1st single of the album “You Can Have Me”. I’m looking forward to a big summer for Phil. We tracked 10 singles for his album, and they’re all headed to radio throughout the year! Can’t wait for everyone to hear them.

The Roomsounds – CD Release

The Roomsounds released their debut full length “We’re #1″ on Friday at the Prophet Bar to a packed house. It was an amazing time getting to track the boys from the Northeast. After hearing Ryan’s songwriting, and the band’s bombastic punk inspired Americana music, I couldn’t help myself but welcome them to the great state of Texas and capture their sound.

This album marked the first time I set up a full band and tracked live. Aside from a few guitar overdubs and some vocals, this album was recorded live by a real-deal, bad-ass rock n roll band. Ladies and Gentlemen, The Roomsounds. Click the link below to listen to “Young & Reckless”. Photo courtesy of Will Bolton www.wbolton.com

Also, check out to hear Barn Burner, and the Local EDGE has been playing Kinks on Sunday nights.
