In January 2010, after Kirby Brown’s Child of Calamity, I began working on my second full length album with the brilliant Dovetail. Fronted by Philip Creamer’s mind-blowing voice, the band is full of writers and geniuses alike. Needless to say, this was the easiest decision ever to work with a band. Throughout the next two years, together we found Dovetail’s sound. Mount Karma represents not just the band’s journey, but also my own self-discovery of how notes, sonics, and voices fit together in my own unique way. From the most eloquent studios, to bathrooms, to recording outdoors, the album was tracked anywhere we could find solace and/or a vibe. Come take the journey to Mount Karma!
